Sunset Bust is a fictional movie, created by Paul Briggs as part of a cover story during an undercover sting operation.

Plot[]

Sunset Bust revolves around two LAPD cops going undercover as sex workers. Married to a real sex worker, Lowrider, Shasta enters her world to take down corruption from the inside. Joined by rookie cop and her younger brother, Shasta comes across tough guys like Johnny.

In the course of the movie, someone steals Johnny's dirty magazines. He takes retaliation by shooting the man on the toilet.

The movie ends with nine sex workers, including Lowrider, walking down Sunset Boulevard.

Development[]

Briggs received an award for Top Seizure Agent of the Year. His face ended up on the news and members of the Colima Family recognized him. He told the them that he is an actor and sometimes plays a cop in the movies.

Cast[]

  • Paul Briggs - Shasta, a cop going undercover as a male sex worker.
  • Unknown - Lowrider, a real sex worker and Shasta's sister-in-law. Named Lowrider by her pimp because pulling on the strings of her panties makes her ass bounce like on hydraulics.
  • Joe Tuturro - Johnny, a tough-guy who killed a man on the toilet for reading his dirty magazines.
  • Mike Warren - Unnamed, a cop under cover as a male sex worker. Married to Lowrider.

Reception[]

The Colima Family fell for the lie, mocking the 'fake' cop badge Briggs showed them to prove it was just a movie.

Mike Warren fell in love with the retelling and insisted on using the story for his own cover when he met with Felix Arroyo. Johnny and Briggs agreed that Mike should play Shasta's brother-in-law. Felix and his wife fell for the story.

Legacy[]

In the time since the lie originated, the Graceland Agents have adopted it for several covers.

When Johnny wanted to join Briggs on a case to take down a rough biker gang, he and Briggs adapted the story to fit him in as a tough guy killer who shot a man on the toilet. This earned him the real nickname 'Johnny' and it has been his name ever since.

When Felix Arroyo asked Mike how he knew Briggs, Mike uses the movie as his cover. He claimed he played his brother-in-law and undercover cop. Felix adapted the lie to make Mike his 'real' brother-in-law when questioned by the Vzarkonye.

When interrogated by the Vzarkonye, Mike proceeded to use Johnny's character in the movie to claim he really killed a man on the toilet for stealing his dirty magazines.
